M. Stoler

Dr. Mark Stoler is Professor (Emeritus) of Pathology and Clinical Gynecology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. He is a Past President of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Dr. Stoler is author or coauthor of over 325 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters. His writings have especially focused on the relationship between human papillomaviruses and cervical carcinogenesis and applications of this knowledge to improving diagnosis and prognosis, including the 2012 American Cancer Society guidelines for cervical cancer screening and the 2012 Lower Anogenital Squamous Terminology (LAST) project. He is currently actively supporting ongoing prophylactic and therapeutic HPV vaccine trials and HPV-related diagnostic trials as an expert pathologist and consultant.
