Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Department Of Obstetrics, Gynecology And Reproductive HealthI am Professor and Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Health at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in New Jersey and an expert in Gynecologic Oncology with a focus on cervical cancer and Human Papillomavirus (HPV). I manage complicated gynecologic malignancies using state-of-the-art evidence based and clinical trial strategies in patients who have failed standard therapy. My primary research focus is in providing novel therapies to women with recurrent gynecologic malignancies and precancerous anogenital diseases. I have led many efforts identifying unique, potentially druggable, targets and biomarkers for clinical risk of malignant transformation. I have developed and have been leading numerous multi-institutional clinical trials in gynecologic cancers and targeting HPV and cervical cancer, as well as cancer prevention. I am the immediate Past President of the ASCCP and have served in leadership roles for many national and international cancer-focused groups including the World Health Organization, the US National Cancer Institute, the American Cancer Society, and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists.
