Jesper Bonde, Senior Researcher, Head of Unit, Molecular Pathology Laboratory, Dept. Pathology, AHH-Hvidovre, Copenhagen University Hospital. Jesper Bonde trained as a molecular biologist specialized in human infectious virus, cancer and cancer prevention in Denmark and the US. Dr. Bonde heads the molecular pathology laboratory at AHH-Hvidovre Hospital, Copenhagen University Hospital. The Dept. Pathology operates all cervical screening in the Capital Region of Denmark covering 1/3 of Denmark, as well as Greenland and the Faroes Islands. For a time limited period, the laboratory also handles cervical cancer screening for Iceland. Besides clinical work, Dr. Bonde is the research leader and PI of studies on screening technology, HPV self-sampling, methylation and biomarkers. Jesper Bonde is the Danish Health Authority appointed HPV expert to the National Cervical Screening Steering Committee. He holds various advisory appointments internationally on cervical cancer screening and cancer prevention.
