Jesper Bonde is a molecular biologist specialized in virus, cancer and cancer prevention. He heads the molecular pathology laboratory, a part of the Department of Pathology, Hvidovre Hospital. The Dept. Pathology operates all cervical screening in the Capital Region of Denmark as well as Greenland and the Faroes Islands, covering 1/3 of Denmark. Dr. Bonde also heads the HPV self-sampling initiative incorporated into the Capital Region Screening program since 2017. Dr. Bonde is the Danish Health Authority appointed HPV expert to the National Cervical Screening Steering Committee.
