Professor James FitzGerald is a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the University of Oxford and John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. He has degrees in Physics and Medicine from the University of Oxford, and a PhD in Neuroelectronic Interfacing from the University of Cambridge. Clinically he specialises in Deep Brain Stimulation, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulation and Peripheral Nerve Stimulation. He leads the Oxford Neural Interfacing group which conducts basic and translational research in Peripheral Nerve Interfaces, Brain-Computer Interfaces, and muscle stimulators.
