Jae-Weon Kim is a Professor of Medicine at the Seoul National University and is specialized in gynecologic oncology at the Seoul National University Hospital in Seoul, Korea. He has been involved in gynecologic oncology nationally and internationally for the last two decades. He has been closely associated with the Gynecologic Cancer InterGroup (GCIG) since 2004 as a representative of Korea. He was Secretary-General/Treasurer during 2009~2021, President for the Asian Society of Gynecologic Oncology (ASGO), and President-Elect for the Korean Society of Gynecologic Oncology. He was an Editor-in-Chief for the ‘Journal of Gynecologic Oncology’ from 2012 to 2021, was an editorial board member of the ‘Journal of Clinical Oncology’ from 2008 to 2013, and was a senior editor for the ‘International Journal of Gynecological Cancer’ from 2008 to 2018.
