In this session we will describe the exciting transformation of the endometrial cancer landscape in the last several years, moving to molecular classification for aid in pathological categorization and providing prognostic and predictive information with which to guide management and clinical trials. Strategies for implementation of molecular classification in both low and high resource settings will be shared, as well as when additional molecular or pathological parameters might add value. Current challenges or as yet unanswered questions in endometrial cancer management will be addressed.

This 2 hour session is intended for pathologists, oncologic surgeons, medical oncologists as well as radiation oncologists with the intention to highlight the most important issues in staging and pathologic reporting of the most common gynecologic cancers, to facilitate clear communication among specialists and optimize patient management.

According to the American Psychological Association, “… culture contributes to differences in attitudes, preferences, behaviors, perceptions, and experiences related to palliative and end-of-life care. One’s age, race, sex assigned at birth, ethnicity, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, education, health status, geographic location, immigration status, and religion can influence how people approach serious or life-limiting illness and end-of-life. With increasing need for, and utilization of, palliative care in gynecologic oncology globally, we must be able to provide culturally competent palliative care. This session will discuss the impact of cultural differences on the provision of palliative care in gynecologic oncology.

This session consists of four oral abstract presentations followed by distillations by renowned speakers.

The session will include updates on rare gynecologic cancers. The session format will be a debate preceded by a Pro and Con session. The session will be divided into three main topics: Chemotherapy in low grade serous ovarian cancer; Surveillance alone in stage I malignant ovarian germ cell tumor; and HER2 blockade in advanced uterine serous carcinoma.

This multidisciplinary session will focus on modern management of placenta accreta spectrum including diagnostics, surgical interventions and the patient experience. The role of gynaecological oncology in the MDT planning of these cases will be discussed and we will include a patient advocate speaker also.

The Early Career Workshop will provide several opportunities to educate and encourage early career professionals interested in research and publications. Attendees will gain advice, as well as a better understanding of the importance of publishing and conducting research from gynecologic oncology editorial professionals. This session will also provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about challenges early career professionals commonly encounter, and finally how to begin to incorporate research into your career.

This session will focus on controversial issues and difficult to treat scenarios for vulvar cancer. There will be discussion on what’s new, what’s debated, and what’s in the data, as experts bring you the latest updates for squamous cell carcinomas and vulvar melanomas. This will include the new FIGO staging and how it relates to clinical management, new techniques for detecting the sentinel node, controversies in adjuvant radiation, and discussion of vulvar melanoma treatment strategies.
