Reinhard Riedl is research professor at Bern University of Applied Science (BFH). After his PhD in pure mathematics; he specialized in high performance computing; the resilient design of large application systems; and tools for interdisciplinary collaboration in R&D projects; before he started research on digital transformation. For a long time; his focus was the transformation of government. In the last years he has focused on the transformation of healthcare; agriculture; and sports; as well as on regulations of the digital economy. Reinhard Riedl has been president of the Swiss Informatics Society (SI); president of the International Society of Contemporary Music Bern (IGNM Bern); and long-term vice-president of the Swiss E-Government Symposium. He is editor of www.societybyte.swiss; member of the boards of eJustice.ch and Praevenire.at; member of the steering committees of TA Swiss and the Swiss National Research Program on Big Data; member of the Advisory Board of Swiss Young Academy; and member of the Education & Skilled Workforce Committee of Digitalswitzerland. Furthermore; he is cofounder and member of the board of all-acad.com AG.
