Isabel Santos is Associate Professor of Immunology at the Ribeirão Preto School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo - USP, in Brazil. She received a medical degree from the Rio de Janeiro State University and did her graduate studies in Immunoparasitology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and the University of São Paulo. She conducted post-doctoral research at the Harvard School of Public Health. Before becoming a faculty member of USP, she was a senior scientist at the Brazilian Enterprise for Agricultural Research – EMBRAPA.
