Paul Torpiano (Malta)
Mater Dei Hospital Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent HealthPaul Torpiano was born in Malta in 1989. He graduated from the University of Malta medical school in 2012, and trained in General Paediatrics at the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Health at Mater Dei Hospital in Malta till 2018, when he started training in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at the same institution. He has been working as a senior fellow in paediatric immunology at Great Ormond Street Hospital since April 2021. He is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and the Royal College of Physicians, and read for a postgraduate diploma and Master of Science in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at Oxford University from 2016-2019. He was a founding member of the Young European Academy of Paediatrics since its inception in 2017, and has been the Young EAP representative for migrant health since 2018. He also enjoys playing the piano and writing and performing music.
