Oana Falup-Pecurariu (Romania)

Dr. Oana Falup-Pecurariu is Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine, Transilvania University from Brasov, Romania. She obtained her MD degree in 1995 from the University of Medicine Iuliu Hatieganu from Cluj-Napoca, Romania and PhD in 2006 from the same University. She was chairman in conjunction of 9 European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) supported and 8 East-European and Mediterranean Teaching Courses in Brasov, Romania, with the participation of prominent researchers in pediatric infectious diseases. At present time, she is working as Head of Department at Childrens Clinic Hospital from Brasov, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Transilvania University Brasov. She is recipient of ESPID Small Grant Award. Dr.Falup-Pecurariu was member of the International Scientific Committee of the World Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases (WSPID) Congress in Melbourne/Australia in 2011 and in Cape Town/ South Africa in 2013, member of the International Scientific Committee of the ESPID 2015 Congress. Currently she is an ESPID Board and ESPID Education Committee Member. She spent training periods in pediatrics in Israel, Netherlands, Japan, UK.
