Dr Prithviraj Rao is a Senior Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Clinical lead at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. Whilst in post at the Children's he has taken a lead in streamlining Paediatric Inflammatory bowel disease care, designing hospital protocols as well as initiating and running the first hands on training course in Paediatric upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. He is a regular faculty on National and international summer schools and training courses for Paediatric Wireless capsule enteroscopy, colonoscopy and therapeutic endoscopy. He has had the privilege to work with some of the pioneers in paediatric endoscopy and this has led to expertise in novel techniques like Double balloon enteroscopy, endoscopic pyloromyotomy etc. This has led to multiple international presentations and publication as well as the offer to lecture and teach at international events.
