Niels is educated as a biotechnology engineer with extensive experience in the biotech industry.
He spent the first 25 years of his career in several positions at the Novo group (Novo Nordisk and Novozymes) working on UPS and DSP development for API; enzymes and metabolites.
Since 2015 he has been part of the Glycom organization, now part of DSM, where he heads HMO process development .
