Pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologist, head of the pediatric department, GFO-Kliniken Bonn, academic teaching hospital of the Medical University of Bonn. IBD is one of my main clinical topics. I am one of the founders of the German speaking pediatric IBD-registry CEDATA-GPGE, for many years member of the ESPGHAN-IBD-Porto-group with contribution to scientific projects and guide-line development. Besides from this, I've been working on fecal lactoferrin as a valuable marker of intestinal inflammation. In my hospital, my team and I are active in taking care of many pediatric IBD patients - on the ward and as outpatients.
