Paediatric Gastroenterology
Dr Osvaldo Borrelli is the Lead of Gastroenterology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital. His clinical interests embrace gastrointestinal motility disorders, including gastroesophageal reflux disease, cyclic vomiting syndrome, chronic constipation, functional gastrointestinal disorders and chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction as well as food-related disorders. Together with Dr Lindley, Dr Rybak and Dr Nikaki he runs a specialist motility centre for children with severe congenital and acquired gut motility disease, including Paediatric Intestinal Pseudo-obstruction (PIPO). Currently, he is member of GI Committee of European Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN). He is also member of different international working groups on the development of new clinical guidelines for the disorders of brain-gut axis, and on the standardization of complex motility investigations.
