Elie Haddad is a clinical scientist and full Professor at the University of Montreal. He has been involved in Primary Immune Deficiency since 1993. Following a 4-year clinical fellowship in Alain Fischer’s Unit, Paris, France, and a PhD in basic immunology, he was recruited in 2005 by CHU Sainte-Justine, a tertiary University Hospital in Montreal, Canada. Currently Prof. Haddad is the Head of Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology Division and Chair of Research at the Department of Pediatrics at this institution. Prof. Haddad is highly motivated and involved in the teaching of clinical immunology and clinical research. He is one of the three Principal Investigators of the Primary Immune Deficiency Treatment Consortium, a NIH-funded consortium of 47 North American Research Centers studying therapy for rare primary immune deficiency diseases, and he is President Elect of the Clinical Immunology Society.
