Professor Geertruij te Kronnie is affiliated to the oncohematology laboratory at the Institute of Pediatric Research (IRP) and at Dept. of Women’s and Children’s Health, Univ. of Padova, Padova Italy. As an assistant professor of medical genetics with standing expertise in molecular genetics she focused her work since 2001 on translational laboratory-based research of hematologic malignancies with a particular emphasis on childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia and hereditary predisposition to leukemia. As a scientist of molecular genetics of pediatric oncohematology she contributed to international pediatric leukemia research, molecular characterization of leukemia subgroups with omic-scale technologies from genome to transcriptome analysis of lymphoblastic and myeloblastic leukemias (since 2001 >100 publications). She serves as a reviewer for international and national grant application and is a much-demanded reviewer for top journals in the field.
