President
Diego de Leo is Emeritus Professor of Psychiatry at Griffith University in Brisbane. Professor de Leo was President of the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) and co-founder and Past-President of the International Academy for Suicide Research (IASR) of which he is also co-founder of the journal Archives of Suicide Research. He was the initiator (2003) of the World Suicide Prevention Day (10 September). Professor de Leo has published extensively, with more than 500 peer-reviewed articles. He is Director of the Department of Psychology at Primorska University, Slovenia, and director of the Slovenian Center for Suicide Research. Professor De Leo is President-ELECT of the Italian Association of Psychogeriatrics and promoter of the national day to fight loneliness.

Katherine de Bienassis is a Health Policy Analyst at the OECD, contributing to the Patient-Reported Indicator Surveys (PaRIS) project and supporting the OECD Health Care Quality and Outcomes Working Party on topics including patient safety and mental health. Prior to joining the OECD, Kate worked as a Senior Project Manager at the National Quality Forum (a U.S. based NGO), where her work focused on the evaluation and endorsement of healthcare quality and outcome measures for use in hospital settings, readmissions, cancer care, pediatrics, and cost and efficiency. Kate previously held positions as Senior Program Associate with the CER Methods team of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (a U.S. based research funding organization) and as Program Coordinator of the Center for Global Development’s Global Health Team (a Washington, D.C. based think tank). Kate holds her MPH from Dartmouth College.

Paweł Dębski, PhD is a psychologist. He graduated in psychology at the University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland), and then obtained a doctoral degree in medical sciences at the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice (Poland). He is a member of the Polish Psychiatric Association - secretary of the Ecological Psychiatry Committee. Currently, he works at the Department of Psychiatry of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice and in the clinical department of psychiatry in hospital. He specializes in clinical psychology and forensic psychology. His research interests include personality, in particular the issue of pro-health mental flexibility called resiliency, and the issue of Dark Triad of personality (psychopathy, narcissism, Machiavellianism).

André Decraene is the father of a child with serious mental health issues. He has graduated in law (KUL Leuven). After a successful career in business as General Counsel Europe Middle-East and Africa for a Producer of Quality Consumer Products, and lastly as the Secretary General of a large Industry Association, he decided, with his wife and mother of his child, to devote time and efforts to promoting the existence and interest of families in Mental Health Care. Soon he joined the Flemish Family Association Similes as a board member and Vice President and was delegated to the European Federation EUFAMI of which he became a trustee and the vice-president. He also served as interim chair. As a family representative he participates in the efforts to formulate recommendations for the Public Mental Health Care services.

Born in Milan, he is currently Full Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Milan and Director of the Department of Mental Health and Addictions of the ASST Fatebenfratelli-Sacco of Milano, Italy. Graduated in Medicine at the Università degli Studi di Milano, he obtained his residency in Psichiatry in 2006 at the same institution. In 2004/05, he completed a post-doc fellowship at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine of New York and in 2005, he completed a clinical fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at the Department of Biological Psychiatry of the Columbia University. In 2009, he received the Fellowship Award from the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) and in 2013 he received a young investigator Fellowship Award from the International Society of Bipolar Disorders (ISBD). In 2011, he began an annual collaboration with the Stanford University in 2011 at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences in the Bipolar Disorders Clinic (since 2014 with the affiliation of Scientific Advisor). He currently serves as co-chair for the International College of Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum Disorders. He has authored more than 300 publications on national and international journals and various books. Within an international research team, he participated for the University of Milan from 2011 to 2016 in the European Commission financed project Program FP7 Marie Curie, “EUSARNAD” (European and South African Research Network in Anxiety Disorders). Since 2017, he participates in the international research project COST (Horizon 2020) “EU-PUI” (European Network for Problematic Usage of the Internet).
