Professor in mental health and clinical psychologist. Done research about staff attitudes to coercion, recuction of coercive interventions and worked with ethical questions in relation to using coercion in mental health care services at the Centre for Medical Ethics, University of Oslo and the Oslo Metropolitan University. Member of the EU COST network FOSTREN Fostering and Strengthening Approaches to Reducing Coercion in European Mental Health Services and a National network for research on coercion in mental health care in Norway (TvangsForsk). Have a small clinical practice besides the research.
