Dr Charlotte Emborg obtained her medical degree from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, and subsequently completed residential training at Soenderborg Hospital and at a Primary Care Clinic in Augustenborg, Denmark. She later undertook specialist training in psychiatry before working in the Psychiatric Hospital, Aarhus, in outpatient treatment, and since 2009 in the OPUS clinic for young people with schizophrenia. Dr Emborg is trained in CBT of psychotic illnesses and she has several years of experience working with patients with anxiety, depression and psychoses in an outpatient setting. She is a member of DSKP, Danish Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology, and she collaborates with Psykiatrifonden on information of psychiatric illnesses and destigmatization of schizophrenia. Dr Emborg has published in international journals in the field of psychopharmacology, psychotic illnesses and eating disorders.
