An assistant professor of medicine and academic hospitalist at Emory University School of Medicine and a member of Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM). She is chair of SHM's Global Hospital Medicine Special Interest Group and is a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion committee. A proponent of medical education, she is the co-director of Emory's Division of Hospital Medicine's Education Council as well as the Assistant Site Director of Education at Grady Memorial Hospital. Dr. Ajala is excited about the growth of hospital medicine globally and the opportunities it creates within global health and human rights.
