Colentina Clinical Hospital
Gastroenterology and Hepatology
I have graduated the UMF "Carol Davila" Faculty of Medicine in 2011 and completed my Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship in 2016. I designed and initiated a prospective observational study that was the foundation of my PhD thesis “The prognostic role of cardio-pulmonary complications in the evolution of patients with cirrhosis” which I presented in 2017. I started work as a Clinical Researcher at Colentina Clinical Hospital, a tertiary referral center for advanced therapeutic endoscopy in Romania. During my initial formation I benefited from a 3-month visiting observational fellowship at the Endoscopic unit of the AMC Amsterdam, the "Andrew K Burroughs" fellowship at Hvidovre, Denmark and the ESGE module I fellowship. I have published mainly in the field of cirrhosis and its cardiohemodynamic complications as well as many papers on advanced endoscopic procedures and training. I have joined the ESGE as a co-chair of the ESGE Young Endoscopists working group and I am the current chair of this new committee and member of the ESGE General Board.
