Profile: My main fields of interest are assessing risk stratification in cardiovascular diseases and critical appraisal. I have extensive experience in coordinating research groups since we have organized two international workshops on syncope risk stratification and numerous international studies. Currently, I am the Chief of Emergency Medicine in my institution. I have authored or co-authored more than 100 publications. I am an expert reviewer in several international peer-reviewed journals. I have been an external referee representing the European Federation of Internal Medicine for the European Society of Cardiology Guidelines on Syncope. I am the Italian delegate for the Choosing Wisely Campaign of the European Federation of Internal Medicine. I have been an external referee for numerous international institutional grants.
