I am originally from Cyprus where I attended The English School in Nicosia. In 2017, I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, USA with a BSc in Marine Biology and BA in Art. During my undergraduate studies I developed my passion towards marine invertebrates, while working as an aquarist at the Long Marine Laboratories. Currently I am working on my PhD thesis at the Institute of Biodiversity, Animal Health and Comparative Medicine at the University of Glasgow, UK. My research focuses on identifying any effects of microfibers and artificial light at night on coastal mussels and the ecosystem services they provide.
