Prof. Dr. Andreas Zirlik Medical University Graz, Austria Prof. Dr. Andreas Zirlik is Chairmen of the Department of Cardiology of the medical University of Graz, Austria. He practices interventional cardiology, interventional hypertensiology and advanced heart failure care. He is the president of the German Atherosclerosis Society (DGAF) and head of the working group “Heart and Diabetes” of the German Cardiac Society. His research interests focus on inflammatory mechanisms in atherogenesis and at the interface of cardiovascular, metabolic disease, and thrombosis.
