Prof. Piercarlo Sarzi-Puttini is Full Professor of Rheumatology and Head of the Rheumatology Unit, Department of Medicine, at FBF-Sacco University Hospital, University Statale Milano, School of Medicine. Professor Sarzi-Puttini has organised different international conferences on chronic pain, inflammatory rheumatic syndromes and autoimmunity and he has authored over 500 PUBMED cited publications on these topics. He is on the Editorial Boards of several rheumatology and immunology journals, including Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology, Autoimmunity Reviews, Beyond Rheumatology and Reumatismo Professor Sarzi-Puttini has long-standing experience in the clinical management of patients with fibromyalgia syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthritis as well as connective tissue diseases and rare rheumatic diseases
