Ferdinando Nicoletti was born in Catania, Italy, on June the 5th 1963 and graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Catania. He obtained his residency in Allergology and Clinical Immunology at the Institute of Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases and Immunopathology at the University of Milan in 1990. He has been Assistant Professor at the Institute of Microbiology of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan from 1991 to 2001. He became Associate Professor of General Pathology in 2001 and has been serving in this role at the University of Catania from 2001 to 2007. He has been Full Professor of Medical Laboratory Sciences at the School of Medicine of the University of Catania from 2007 to 2011. Since 2011 to now he is Full Professor of General Pathology at the University of Catania. Ferdinando Nicoletti has been Vice-President of the Ethical Committee of Cannizzaro Hospital in Catania in 2009. He has been President of IACUC of the University of Catania and he has been a Scientific Committee Member of Scuola Superiore di Catania. Ferdinando Nicoletti is cofounder of Ganial Immunotherapeutics (Delaware) OncoNOx ApS (Copenhagen) and Aura Biopharm (Oslo). He is in the Editorial Board and acts as a reviewer for more than 10 Journals. Ferdinando Nicoletti has been working in the field of cellular and molecular immunology, immunopharmacology, toxicology and experimental oncology. He has published more than 300 papers in peer reviewed journals and has reached an H-index of 61.
