Robin Koops, founder and owner of Inreda Diabetic, is a mechanic engineer and entrepreneur. Since 1995 he has diabetes type 1 and due to daily confrontations with the permanent inconvenience of pricking, measuring and injecting Robin started looking for a solution. He started to develop the bi-hormonal artificial pancreas in 2004 and works on it ever since. The focus was on developing a device that could perform the entire glucose regulation autonomously and by combining various ideas, experiences and knowledge the Inreda AP was invented. Not just for himself, but for all people with diabetes. The purpose of Robin? Every diabetes patient deserves a healthy carefree life.
