Jean-Pierre Riveline is Professor of Endocrinology and Diabetology at Lariboisière Hospital, in Paris, France. He is responsible for the University Center for Diabetes and its Complications (CUDC). Jean-Pierre Riveline has been interested in new technologies for patients living with diabetes for several years, especially continuous glucose monitoring and closed-loop insulin administration. He has conducted several studies evaluating the effectiveness of CGM. He is one of the investigators of studies demonstrating the efficacy of CGMs in type 2 diabetes treated with basal insulin. He works in the development of a test bench for the evaluation of pump and CGMs, and modeling of the subcutaneous diffusion of insulin. Jean-Pierre Riveline is coordinator for two national cohorts: SFDT1, a long-term prospective follow-up of patients living with type 2 diabetes to better understand cardiovascular risk in this population, and OB2F, a real-life cohort evaluating the efficacy and safety of closed-loop automated insulin therapy.
