Rainer Straßburger-Lausen is a certified nurse by education with 35-years’ experience in Diabetes therapy and patient care. He began his career as a head nurse in the endocrinology department of a German university hospital, followed by 9-years in the pharmaceutical industry. Rainer Straßburger-Lausen has now been with Medtronic for 21 years – mainly responsible for Training & Education at Medtronic Diabetes Germany. In 2015 he joined the Medtronic Diabetes EMEA team, first responsible for HCP & Patient Education until 2018, followed by the focus on HCP Education initiatives until March 2022. Since March 2022, Rainer Straßburger-Lausen is responsible for Medical Affairs at Medtronic Diabetes Germany.
