Researcher at multiple EU projects, experienced clinical trials investigator, Principal Investigator for scientific research projects on gestational diabetes and genetics of diabetes complications, co-author of more than 50 peer-reviewed publications. Main research interest is related to the development of diabetes complications and their genetic background; the influence of gestational diabetes into the development of type 2 DM and metabolic disorders in a long term prospective; the organization of care of multimorbid patients.
