George West completed his medical degree in 2021 at the age of 26 years from The University of Sheffield. He also has an undergraduate first-class degree in Biochemistry from Queen Mary, University of London. He is the creator of the hugely popular social media page ‘LearnDiabetes’ and is also a nationally recognised volunteer for Diabetes UK, currently appearing in their television advert. George is a newly qualified junior doctor working in the NHS in the U.K. George also lives with Type 1 Diabetes and is passionate about diabetes research.
