Jake Leach, Chief Technology Officer, Dexcom (USA) As Dexcom’s Chief Technology Officer, Jake spearheads company initiatives tied to scientific research, engineering, product development, and project management. His prior roles within Dexcom include Senior Vice President of R&D, Senior Director of R&D, and Manager of Engineering. Jake joined the Dexcom team in March 2004, leaning on his robust engineering knowledge to steer the development of Dexcom’s first-generation sensor electronics. Since then, Dexcom’s dynamic teams have developed next-generation products and high-caliber glucose monitoring technology under his leadership—all while providing an exceptional user experience. From 1996 to 2004, Jake held positions in research and development at MiniMed and Medtronic Diabetes, focusing on the development of glucose sensing systems. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
