Dr Anke M Schulte is “Scientific Project Lead Type 1 Diabetes Collaborations” within the Diabetes Research Team at Sanofi based in Frankfurt / Main, Germany. Anke received a PhD from the TU Darmstadt, Germany. She trained as postdoc fellow at Georgetown University and worked as Assistant Professor at the Lombardi Cancer Center in Washington DC, USA. Anke joined “Aventis” 2001 as Molecular Pathology lab head in the Functional Genomics Department. Since 2010 she joined the Diabetes Division and headed the Islet Biology Cluster in Diabetes Research until mid 2017. At present she is assigned as “Scientific Project Lead Type 1 Diabetes Collaborations” and is the project leader of the IMI2 INNODIA collaboration “Translational approaches to disease modifying therapy of type 1 diabetes” for Sanofi.
