Isah Mohammed Takuma is a youth health strategist, social worker, and advocate. Since 2005, he has been an active member of the Network of People Living with HIV in Nigeria (NEPWHAN). NEPWHAN‘s mission is to put in place comprehensive HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and support services for people living with HIV (PLHIV) through youth empowerment and education on their health, human rights, and prevention techniques. Isah represents all PLHIV (including youth and women) as an alternate member of CCM-Nigeria's multi-stakeholder platform the secures and manages Global Fund HIV, TB, and Malaria interventions. Isah had from 2015 to 2019 coordinated the Association of Positive Youth living with HIV in Nigeria (APYIN), a youth-led network that mobilizes Nigerian youth to advocate for access to quality HIV prevention, treatment, and care services.
