Asli Uyar is a bioinformatics scientist at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine. As a member of the Model Organism Development and Evaluation for Late-Onset Alzheimer’s Disease (MODEL-AD) consortium, she is the lead computational scientist in multiple collaborative projects studying the effect of genetic diversity on phenotypic variation in the aging brain. In her previous studies, she developed machine learning based predictive models to provide personalized treatment options as part of the clinical decision-making processes. Her current research interest is focused on cross-species translation of multi-omics molecular signatures for more predictive and efficient preclinical studies in Alzheimer's Disease.
