Kate Onuska is a 3rd year PhD student in the Department of Neuroscience, supervised by Dr. Taylor Schmitz and Dr. Marco Prado. Her research involves calibrating cell-type specific radiotracers for preclinical evaluations of neurodegenerative diseases. In particular, she is interested in the application of [18F] FEOBV for quantifying changes in the cholinergic system in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
