Prof. Okun has conducted his Ph.D. at the Life Sciences faculty at Bar Ilan with Prof. Benjamin Sredni on immunmodulatory molecules. He then moved to conduct his post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institute on Aging, NIH , Baltimore, MD, with Dr. Mark Mattson, where he studied the role of the innate immune system on cognitive behavior. Since 2012 he heads the Paul Feder laboratory on Alzheimer's disease research at the Life Sciences faculty at Bar Ilan university.
