Prof. Lopez is Professor of Neurology, Psychiatry, and Clinical and Translational Sciences; Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center; and Chief of the Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology Division at the University of Pittsburgh. His research interests include diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment related to vascular disease; progressive cognitive decline and cerebral amyloid deposition; and blood biomarkers for dementia. He has received several honors for his work and has co-authored Practice Guidelines on dementia for the American Academy of Neurology and American Psychiatric Association.
