Professor Feleszko received his MD in 1994, and his PhD in 1999. Starting from 2013 he is the Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Department of Pediatric Pneumology and Allergy, The Medical University of Warsaw (Poland) and Consultant Clinical Immunologist in the Medical University Children’s Hospital. He graduated from Medical University of Warsaw (Poland) and Universität des Saarlandes (Germany). He has been trained in Immune Deficiency Disorders (research fellow at the INSERM, Paris) and then in Basic Immunology (PhD from Institute of Biostructure, University of Warsaw). He received Fellowship Award from the EAACI (European Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology) and was granted with a post-doc position at the Charité Universitätsmedizin (Berlin/Germany). He is chairing the EAACI Working Group “Infections”. He has established and chairing the EAACI Task Force on Preschool Wheeze”. He has a 20-year experience in pediatric respiratory diseases, allergy, infectious diseases in childhood. Professor Feleszko’s main research interests focus at respiratory immunology and include in particular, role of infectious agents and pro- and postbiotics in allergy, environmental factors in respiratory disorders. He is an author of more than 120 original scientific peer-reviewed papers, reviews, and book chapters, reviewer or several journals in the disciplines of Allergy, Immunology, Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases.
