Nikos Papadopoulos is Professor of Allergy and Paediatric Allergy at the University of Manchester, UK and at the University of Athens, Greece. His work has focused on asthma exacerbations and he has described several of the mechanisms connecting viral infections with allergy and asthma. Furthermore, he has been involved in research and intervention programs in food allergy. He has extensive collaborations and leading roles in the context of EU Projects and international Guideline documents. He has published more than 350 papers (h-index: 84), has received several international awards and is regularly invited to speak at international scientific meetings. He has served in committees of EAACI, GA2LEN, WAO, REG and ARIA. He was the 2013-2015 President of EAACI and the 2018-2020 President of REG.
