Tereza Koláčná graduated at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, majoring in Nursing care. Since 1997, she has been working as a nurse. Starting 2007, Tereza has been the head nurse of the Neurological ICU at the Motol University Hospital in Prague. At the Motol Hospital, she is part of the team of auditors for intensive nursing care and a member of the team for chronic wound healers. Since 2005, Tereza has been teaching the subject of Nursing at the 2nd Medical Faculty of Charles University and participates in the professional training of students of both medicine and nursing care. Since 2017, Tereza has been cooperating with the Angels Initiative. With their help, she attempts to promote current trends in nursing stroke care in the Czech Republic. In 2018, she co-organized the 1st Congress for Stroke Nurses with a large number of participants. In 2019, together with other nurses, Tereza founded the Angels Nurse Steering Committee, striving to increase the quality of stroke nursing care in the Czech Republic. In 2020, for epidemiological reasons, the first webinar for stroke nurses was organized.

Associate Professor Rita Krishnamurthi is a public health epidemiologist the Deputy Director of the National Institute for Stroke and Applied Neurosciences at the Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand. Rita is currently involved in a number of research projects focused on stroke and dementia epidemiology. She is a co-director of the Auckland Regional Community Stroke studies as well as a member of the Global Burden of Disease Project Stroke expert panel. She is an investigator in a number of randomised controlled trials for the prevention of stroke, including an international multicentre study investigating ways to reduce risk of stroke in the community using mobile technology. She is a Research Leader in the Living with Dementia in Aotearoa (LiDiA) study and in the New Zealand Health Research Council funded funded study: “Is a dementia study feasible in NZ?”. Her special interest areas are prevention of cerebrovascular diseases, and Pacific and Asian health and well-being. Rita also currently supervises a number of PhD students.

Dr Praveen Kumar is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol. Praveen completed his BSc Physiotherapy from Mangalore University, India in 1995 and joined Apollo Multi-speciality Hospital, Hyderabad to work as a clinical physiotherapist. In 1998, Praveen went to Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh to pursue his Master in Physiotherapy. After gaining his masters, Praveen worked in India as a Vice-Principal at the Swantara Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, AP and then as Principal (in-charge) at the College of Physiotherapy, Durgabai Deshmukh Hospital, Hyderabad. Praveen joined UWE in 2003 as lecturer / Senior lecturer in physiotherapy. Praveen completed his PhD from UWE in 2012. Currently, Praveen is the Board member for Publication and Knowledge Dissemination (Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology), Editor for Synapse - Official Journal of ACPIN. My research interests lies in stroke rehabilitation and includes upper limb problems (shoulder pain, subluxation, weakness), physical activity, group exercises, telerehabilitation and robotics in rehabilitation.

Dr Yohanna Kusuma is currently working as Consultant Neurology and Head of Hyperacute Stroke and Neurosonology Services at National Brain Centre Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia. She graduated from the University of Indonesia as a Neurologist in 2007, and did her fellowship training in Neurosonology, Clinical Stroke and Research Fellow with National Neuroscience Institute, Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital 2007-2008 as well as National University Hospital in 2011-2013. She is currently a PhD candidate at Deakin University, Australia. She is certified in Neurosonology from the World Federation of Neurology the Neurosonology Research Group (WFN-NSRG) in 2009 and a Registered Physician in Neurovascular Interpretation, American Society of Neuroimaging (RPNI-ASN) in 2013. Her main interests are in stroke, thrombolysis, and neurosonology. She has published numerous papers, books, invited to speak in multiple stroke meetings and as a journal reviewer. She got awards as the 1st winner presentation at 4th Scientific Meeting INA-SH, Jakarta 2010, the winner of oral presentation in APSC Tokyo 2012, received Travel Grant Awardee in ICSU 2018 & 1st AKJSC Korea 2018 and the best Free Paper Awards in APSC Korea 2020.

Gert Kwakkel received the first chair ‘Neurorehabilitation’ in the Netherlands at the Amsterdam University Medical Centre in Amsterdam. His chair is dedicated to translational research in the field of neurorehabilitation with special focus on mechanisms of stroke recovery and prediction modeling. Professor Kwakkel published about 280 papers with more than 17.000 citations in the field of stroke rehabilitation (Web of Science H-Index 67). Based on a prestigious laureate from the European Research Council (ERC), he became one of the top scientists at the VU University of Amsterdam and visiting professor at the department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences of the Northwestern University of Chicago, USA in 2015. In 2018, he received an honorary fellowship from the Associated Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN) in the UK and the Outstanding Neurorehabilitation Clinician Scientists (ONCS) award from the American Society of Neurorehabilitation (ASNR). Finally, professor Kwakkel is member of the editorial board of Stroke and European Managing editor of Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair.
