Graduated from National Taiwan University with an MD of College of Medicine and a PhD of Institute of Epidemiology and Preventive medicine, Chih-Hao Chen dedicated in the fields of acute stroke and neurocritical care. His research interests focus on clinical studies of reperfusion therapy as well as cerebral small vessel disease. Of note, he participates in the establishment and follow-up of the Taiwan CADASIL cohort. He has also won the best E-poster of 2020 WSO-ESO conference.

Dr Christopher Chen is a Senior Clinician-Scientist at the Departments of Pharmacology and Psychological Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Director of the Memory Aging and Cognition Centre. His early medical and research training was at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford as well as the Institute of Neurology, London. Since returning to Singapore, Dr Chen has developed multi-disciplinary research programmes with extensive international collaborations. His major research and clinical interests are in blood biomarkers, neuroimaging, molecular biology and treatment of stroke and dementia. He has published over 400 peer reviewed papers, is the Principal Investigator for several studies on the treatment as well as prevention of stroke and dementia, serves on journal editorial boards and has been a member of several trial steering committees and advisory panels. He has extensive mentorship experience and is currently co-chair of the World Stroke Organisation’s Future Leaders Program. He has supervised 20 PhD, 7 MSc and 19 Fellows. Currently he is President of the Asian Society Against Dementia, Secretary-Treasurer of the Asian & Oceanian Association of Neurology and past-chair of the International Society for Vascular Behavioural and Cognitive Disorders.

Po-Lin Chen is currently the Director of Stroke Center of Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan. Dr. Chen completed his medical training at Kaohsiung Medical College and his training in Neurology at Taichung Veterans General Hospital. He also completed the degree of Master of Science from the Institute of Brain Science, National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University, Taipei, Taiwan. Dr. Chen was involved in several worldwide randomized controlled trials, including RESPECT-ESUS and THALES. His primary research interest is in clinical Neurology and autonomic function. His main publications include topics on autonomic functions in stroke subtypes, blood pressure in acute ischemic stroke, imaging parameters in predicting stroke outcomes, etc. Dr. Chen dedicates himself to stroke treatment and is currently the Director of Taiwan Stroke Society. He drafted several guidelines in stroke management in Taiwan, including thrombolytic therapy and antithrombotics. In the future, he plans to dig more into the real-world data of well-designed, prospective registries to improve stroke care.

Sherry Chou MD. M.Sc. FNCS, FCCM Dr. Sherry Chou is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in neurology, vascular neurology and neurocritical care . Dr. Chou’s research program focuses on the role of inflammation and immune response in vascular brain injuries and biomarker discovery in critically-ill patients. Since 2020, Dr. Chou founded and leads the large collaborative Global Consortium Study on Neurological Dysfunction in COVID-19 (GCS-NeuroCOVID). Nationally, Dr. Chou has served in many leadership roles including her current service on the Board of Directors of the Neurocritical Care Society (NCS). PhD in 2002 (Early neurological deterioration in acute stroke) and DMSci in 2007 (Acute stroke is a dynamic process). She has a broad interest in clinical stroke and clinical stroke research. She serves as chair of the implementation steering committee of Stroke Action Plan Europe.
