Professor Dominique Cadilhac (PhD, MPH, BN, RN) is a health services researcher and NHMRC Senior Research Fellow with over 260 articles. She is also the Head of the Translational Public Health and Evaluation Research Division, Stroke and Ageing Research at Monash University. Professor Bruce Campbell is a consultant neurologist, Head of Stroke and Interim Head of Neurology, Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is a professorial fellow in the Melbourne Brain Centre @ RMH, Department of Medicine, University of Melbourne, an honorary professorial fellow at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health and a fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Science. His research interests are focused on the imaging and treatment of acute stroke and he was co-principal investigator and medical co-ordinator of the EXTEND-IA and EXTEND-IA TNK multi-centre randomised trials published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2015 and 2018. He is Chair of Clinical Council and a director of the Australian Stroke Foundation and co-chairs the Australian stroke “living” guidelines working party.

Valeria Caso is a stroke consultant at the Santa Maria Della Misericordia Hospital Stroke Unit, Italy and certified full professor in Neurology. She is a former president of the European Stroke Organisation (ESO) and a World Stroke Organization Board member. She has authored and co-authored more than 300 published papers and book chapters. She has been involved in 20 multicentre trials serving in various positions, including steering committees. She is currently actively involved in international research projects on heart and brain, intracerebral haemorrhage, and acute stroke treatment. She has made a primary interest in the treatment and prevention of stroke in women and working on stroke guidelines in women.

Hugues Chabriat MD PhD is currently tenured Professor of Neurology at the University of Paris - and the head of the Department of Neurology at Lariboisière Hospital in Paris (France). He also heads the national referral center for rare vascular diseases of the brain and retina in France. He has long been studying the clinical and imaging aspects of stroke and coordinated different clinical trials. His research is particularly dedicated to the clinical and imaging features of cerebral small vessel disease with a strong expertise in hereditary forms of these disorders. He served as a principal investigator in different international networks (Leducq Transatlantic Network, ERANET EU) and he currently co-coordinates a large trans-disciplinary network dedicated to cerebral small vessel diseases. He has published more than 250 research papers or chapters on stroke disorders or cerebral small vessel disease and is member of the editorial board of different scientific journals on stroke.

Marina is a rehabilitation clinician and researcher specialized in Stroke Aphasia. She is an expert adult neuro scientist at the Rehabilitation Sciences department of the Cyprus University of Technology. Marina qualified from City University London and have been practicing in Neurological Rehabilitation for the past 18 years. She studies her PhD at the Department of Neurology at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, under the supervision of Professor Jean-Marie Annoni MD. In 2009, Marina established the Cyprus Stroke Association. She is currently the President of the Board, the Secretary of the Board of the Stroke Alliance for Europe, and a proud member of the ‘Future Stroke Leaders Program’ of the World Stroke Organization. Marina has received an achievement award in fighting stroke from SAFE in 2018. In 2020 Marina received the prestigious scholarship of the A.G. Leventis Foundation to support her Research. She is also working in 3 Stroke related studies: the ASPIRE for post-stroke aphasia, the i-TRAIN for direct care workers, and the ACESO to improve patient outcomes. Her main interests are rehabilitation, quality of life, and patient and public involvement in stroke research.
