A/Prof Andrew is an epidemiologist and health service researcher. She is a named investigator on a number of data linkage projects predominantly in the area of stroke and ageing. She is Chief Investigator on the PRECISE project (GNT:1141848) involving linkages between a national clinical registry (N~30,000 registrants) and a range of state and commonwealth held administrative datasets. These data are being used to evaluate the use of incentivised models of primary and allied health care in the long-term management of stroke and associated impacts on outcomes. She is also leading a number of projects aimed at improving systems for the sharing of critical data between community and hospital and integration of data between systems to improve patient care. She has presented at a number of national and international conferences on the topic of stroke data linkage, chairs the Monash HELIX data linkage committee and is the Research Data Lead for the National Centre for Healthy Ageing.

Dr. Aronowski is Professor and Vice Chair of Neurology, and the Roy M. and Phyllis Gough Huffington Chair in Neurology at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center (UTHealth) in Houston. He received his advanced degrees from the Warsaw Medical School and Polish Academy of Sciences. He has published more than 100 papers, and given more than 100 plenary lectures and invited presentations around the world. Aronowski has served on more than 100 NIH and AHA study sections and acted as a member of the Planning Group to Establish NIH Future Goals/Priorities in Stroke Research-National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). Aronowski's research pertaining to cerebral ischemia and intracerebral has been sponsored continuously for two decades with grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the AHA. Discoveries in Aronowski's laboratory have resulted in clinical trials for ischemic stroke and intracerebral hemorrhage. He is the Associate Editor for Basic Science for the Stroke journal. He is co-chair of the advisory committee for preclinical studies for NIH StrokeNet. He was honored with the 2017 Thomas Willis Award from the American Heart Association for his significant and long-term contributions to the basic science of stroke.

Prof. Arsovska is Full member of European Academy of Neurology, Fellow of European Stroke Organization and Board member of World Stroke Organization. She is current President of the Macedonian Stroke Association, Vice-President of Stroke Alliance for Europe and Associate Commissioning Editor of World Stroke Association. Prof. Arsovska is involved in the ESO-EAST and Angels projects. She also participated in the Stroke Action Plan for Europe as part of the acute stroke management working group. Prof. Arsovska is very active in promoting stroke prevention and raising stroke awareness, organizing many public campaigns and scientific meetings and supporting European and World Stroke Day.
