Dr. Bart Emmer, interventional neuroradiologist, Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. After his training as a radiologist and his PhD research in quantitative MRI, he completed his fellowship in both diagnostic and interventional Neuroradiology . Subsequently, he was involved as local investigator in the MRCLEAN trial, the MRCLEAN MED trial and part of the executive committee of the MRCLEAN NOIV trial. He is an imaging core lab member of the BASICS trial, the TESLA trial , TO-ACT trial and the MRCLEAN registry. Currently, he is project leader of the CLEOPATRA study into the cost-effectiveness of CT perfusion for selecting patients with acute ischemic stroke for endovascular treatment in the Dutch healthcare setting after harmonization and optimization in the 17 Dutch endovascular treatment centers. In addition, he is project leader of AIRBORNE a private-public funded collaboration to develop Artificial Intelligence solutions to aid imaging based triage of patients with acute ischemic stroke. At present, he is a member of the board of the section of Neuroradiology of the Dutch society of Radiology as the Neuro-Interventional representative and one of the Dutch delegates for the UEMS division of Neuroradiology. He has co-authored more than 65 peer reviewed articles.
