Ramesh Sahathevan is a consultant physician and neurologist with the Ballarat Health Services. Prior to moving to Australia, Ramesh was a consultant neurologist and physician, and senior lecturer with the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The focus of his clinical practise is in stroke prevention, improvement of acute stroke care and, acute and chronic cognitive dysfunction. His research interests reflect his clinical practise. In recent years Ramesh has also started looking at the role of machine learning in the practise of medicine. He is currently a member of the Lancet Commission for Stroke in low- and middle-income countries. He is also a faculty member of the Lundbeck International Neuroscience Foundation. Since 2017, Ramesh has been an active member of the WSO Education Committee.
