Sabine Eichinger, MD, is professor of hematology at the Medical University Hospital of Vienna, Austria. She received her training at the Medical University of Vienna and at the Harvard Medical School in Boston. She has vast expertise in thrombosis and haemostasis research and is a specialist in clinical studies. Dr. Eichinger was a board member of the European Hematology Association and chair of its Fellowship and Grants Committee. She is past-chairman of the Scientific and Standardizing Committee of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. She authored numerous highly-ranked scientific articles and received several prestigious academic awards including the Esteemed Career Award of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
