Gakeemah Inglis-Jassiem has a keen interest and clinical experience in neurological physiotherapy and rehabilitation. She was a senior lecturer at Stellenbosch University until January 2019 and is currently enrolled as a PhD candidate. Her PhD project focuses on technology to enhance contextually relevant stroke care and support in South Africa. She is a part-time researcher in the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Stellenbosch University, currently involved in a large international collaborative study investigating universal health care for people with stroke in South Africa. She provides capacity development courses, consultant, and mentoring services to therapists in neurological rehabilitation.
