Natali completed her veterinary medicine degree and a Doctorate degree in equine orthopaedics at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. Afterwards, Natali commenced a residency in the Section of Theriogenology at Cornell University, USA. She passed the board exam of the American College of Theriogenologists and remained at Cornell as a Clinical Instructor in Theriogenology and a Postdoctoral Associate in Developmental Biology. In 2011 Natali completed her PhD degree at The University of Melbourne, where she is since employed as a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Reproduction. Her other roles include being the Deputy Director of the DVM, Director of Student Experience and EMS Academic Coordinator. Her research interests are infectious uterine diseases in domestic animals. She is currently working on a vaccine against pyometra and cystitis in small animals and on the role of the microbiome in fertility in horses. Additionally, she is undertaking research around student wellbeing. Over the years, Natali has established international collaborations with researchers in the USA, Denmark, Germany and New Zealand.
